CAREER-Connected Field Trips
Where Learning Meets the Real World
Our Career-Connected Field Trips are designed to take learning beyond the classroom, giving students tangible, hands-on experiences that make post-high school pathways feel real and attainable.
What began in the 2022-2023 school year as visits to local colleges has blossomed into a cornerstone of our programming.
The success of these tours has created an ever-expanding initiative that now connects hundreds of students each year to their futures, as you’ll see in the impact data below.

Middle School Students
attended career-connected field trips to colleges and trade schools.
6th Grade experience:
Exploring 2-Year College Pathways
For many 6th graders, "college" is an abstract concept. Our goal is to demystify this by showcasing the accessible, hands-on programs available right in their community.
These experiences bridge a critical gap, demonstrating that higher education is an achievable reality, especially for students in communities facing systemic barriers and limited access to resources.
“Students were able to see that college is more than just a typical classroom. They learned that they will gain hands-on experience like programming robots.
”
“This made [the students] aware of opportunities during and post-high school.
”
of Students
gained a better understanding of college after their hands-on day at Sinclair Mason.
