It’s an opportunity to spark a completely different level of curiosity: students immerse themselves in your career path by seeing the tools of your industry, watching your team collaborate, and participating in hands-on activities.   • Use the Field Trip Planning Checklist to start planning your Mentor Led Field Trip: What is a Mentor Led Industry Field Trip Checklist

  • We suggest planning your field trip at least two months in advance. Talk with your teacher about dates that work for your team and class. Consider a field trip early in the school year as an introduction to your career. Keep in mind that April and May are often heavy with testing and end of year school events. Once a date is scheduled, complete this form to register your Field Trip and arrange transportation if needed. 

  • Once you and your teacher agree on a date for your Mentor Led Field Trip, register the trip with Adopt A Class using the Field Trip Registration Form. This link registers your field trip with Adopt A Class and guides you through transportation requirements. 

  • Field trip costs vary based on the mentor team’s plans and the type of experience provided. Adopt A Class asks the mentor organization to cover any costs associated with the field trip, including busing. One bus for a field trip costs $500. You will receive a transportation invoice from Adopt A Class once the trip is scheduled. 

  • Yes. Adopt A Class secures grant funding to help nonprofits and civic organizations cover Mentor Led Field Trip transportation costs. The Field Trip Registration Form will alert us if your organization is eligible. Assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis while funding lasts.
